The change of heart. The heart of change.

My Heart Foundation Launches an Initiative to Prepare Churches for Welcoming People with Disabilities

With the support of My Heart Foundation for Training and Caring for People with Disabilities, several churches have begun preparing and adapting their facilities to welcome people with disabilities, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and loving environment where everyone can participate and engage with dignity and ease.

The preparations included improving entrances to ensure easier access and mobility, as well as adapting restrooms to better meet the needs of people with disabilities. This step reflects a growing awareness of the importance of providing safe and accessible spaces for all.

The initiative also included training courses and awareness workshops for staff members, servants, and volunteers to help develop respectful and effective ways of interacting with people with disabilities, while promoting a culture of inclusion, acceptance, and understanding within the church and the wider community.

My Heart Foundation believes that the church is a home open to everyone, and that true accessibility is not only about physical adjustments, but also about building awareness, compassion, and relationships founded on respect and human dignity.

Together toward more inclusive churches…
and a community that opens its doors to everyone with love and respect.
